Blue and white outdoor patio furniture for the ultimate resort feel, but without the price tag!
Ah, the return of summer! The promise of daily vitamin D and my pasty white skin to find somewhat of a glow.
And nothing is better than waking up and half sleepy grabbing a cup of coffee and heading outside to find a lounger to lay with my thoughts.
The birds chirping, a warm breeze, and my hair slowly growing higher by the minute due to our infamous St. Louis summer humidity 🤣.
Last year we purchased these 4 navy and white striped teak loungers from Amazon, which are so instant-resort 🙌
We quickly learned since moving in last spring that our backyard gets the most intense sun. I’m talking desert oasis from 11am-4pm. So we added two navy umbrellas with white piping from Amazon in between for some much needed afternoon shade.
Now on the other side of the pool, near the outdoor fireplace, the prior owner had left us an outdoor dining table set, which definitely got used.
Overall, it definitely set a party mode, but I wanted a more calming, chic bistro feel. And unfortunately, the bar height wasn’t working out that well for our own small kiddos and neighborhood gang. The chairs were also clunky and hard to move. Soooo.... my husband James got to work and cut the table down to a standard dining room table height.
I was then able to find some fantastic and ohhhh so French blue and white bistro chairs on Amazon to compliment the resort theme I had started to navigate towards last summer with our patio furniture.
The matching striped umbrella that I got from World Market is my little cherry on top. With the table being lower the umbrella is able to shine a bit more as you can actually see if 🤣🙌
A note regarding the loungers…
Pros: Super classic and resort style that I love! Plus the little slide out tables are very convenient. However... Cons: Not completely sure how long they will last. The finish is already starting to come off and with the almost desert like sun our patio gets the cushions are getting so baked that they are becoming more purple than navy, which you can see in the below image with the standards IG hotdog legs. ✨If they were under a pavilion of some sort I would 100% recommend! ✨
Hope this helps you find some great options for your summer fun this year!
