Interior Decor for Residential, Business, & Vacation Rentals
185 year old log cabin
2021 St. Louis Magazine A-List Vacation Rental Winner!
From drab and dark to fresh and modern! This interior design project was a take on mid-century design, while also making sure to honor the past of this wonderful little cabin located in St. Charles, MO. This cabin was built in 1835 and to let the rustic logs shine bright and be the star of the show, I incorporated white pops of fabric, a Lucite office chair, and a dark rug in the bedroom for a soothing, but no lack of personality environment. The downstairs carries on the theme, with the addition of a kitchenette. This highly functional space has dark green cabinets, an uber cute mint green fridge, pops of brass hardware, and a very large farm sink. The dining room gives off a Scandinavian vibe, while the living room incorporates a really fun velvet yellow couch that provides ample seating for watching TV or listening to jazz on the pale blue record player.
1905 Two Story Home
A classic take home a home built in 1905. There wasn't a room untouched in this home. Renovation included heated floors, master bedroom addition, new laundry room, library with rolling ladder, built-in coffee bar, floor to ceiling paneled dining room, and multiple outdoor spaced added to this home. Part of St. Charles, MO 2014 Historical Home Tour. Every room and outdoor space, including landscaping was lovingly designed by M. Reed Studio.
